All paid Bureau of Fire staff hold medical certification to a minimum of First Responder, with many certified as E.M.T., and two certified as Paramedic.
A certified Advanced Life Support fire engine certified by the PA Department of Health
A certified Heavy Rescue unit, certified by the PA Department of Health
Code inspection and code enforcement service, as per the PA Uniform Construction Code and the International Code Council “I” codes.
Inspection and enforcement of The ICC Building Code, Fire Code, Property Maintenance Code, and Existing Building Code to name a few. All “I” codes are enforced verbatim.
Building plans review
New occupancy inspections
Annual inspections including fire safety, and code compliance inspections
Conducting fire drills
Conducting Public Fire Education and Fire Prevention programs for all ages
Assisting the public with fire evacuation plans, fire emergency plans, and other hazard mitigation plans
Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention program
Assisting Emergency Management personnel with natural or man made disasters
